Janda-Shen is a genasi, a being formed from the elemental matter of Kythri. She was apparently being pursued by powerful efreeti from the City of Brass due to her role in a rebellion.

She escaped the Elemental Chaos through an ancient giant planar portal, with the help of Kaddik, Caleb, Sláine and Rufus.

Janda-Shen stayed in Stormreach while the adventurers travelled to Zantashk, and for a short time after they returned, but became bored with the town and left to explore Xen’drik on her own.
